You are constantly thinking. Whether you are aware of it or not. For a lot of us we forget and take it for granted. Think for a moment about your breathing. Until a minute ago you were unaware that you are doing it. Most people don’t think about their breathing unless you are out of breath.
Thinking works the same because we do it all the time, we forget that it is happening and usually we let it go on automatically.
Unlike breathing, when you forget you are thinking this can cause serious problems for you. It can result in you becoming angry, unhappy, stressed, and isolated. The reason is that how you think will manifest as a feeling.
Let’s try an exercise to show you this in a practical way. Try and feel jealous without having jealous thoughts. Difficult? How about feeling angry without having angry thoughts. Hard to do? Well, let’s try one more and let’s try to feel stressed, without thinking stressful thoughts. Can you do it? You can’t. No one can, because before you can have a feeling first, you have to have a thought that produces the feeling. Amazing isn’t it?
How you think is very important. Can you see why? Unhappiness is a feeling that follows negative thinking. If you eliminate the negative thoughts , the unhappiness, jealousy, anger, and stress cannot exist. You have the power to change your thoughts and feelings and the way to do that is to be aware of how you are thinking. Remember it is your thinking that is negative when you feel bad, not your life. If you take time and practice you will be able to get rid of the negative thoughts the same as you would shoo away a hungry dog that comes to you when you are eating. Just shoo the negative thoughts away and think about what makes you feel good.
Until next time I wish you peace, love, and happiness.
