The first step to Mastery is to make a commitment to yourself that you will master your craft, regardless whether it is baking bread, selling cars or running a multi-million dollar corporation. This is the best standard to work under in these unpredictable, stressful and changing times. Select to cruse at being mediocre, average, run of the mill capacity level and you will be left behind scratching your head wondering what went wrong?
Be so good at what you do, that people cannot ignore you! Regardless of what position you are in, title or no title, deliver at your WOW factor best every time and those that see your work will be awestruck. It is not enough just to have the people you work with and the people you serve like you. In these competitive times we need to up our game and be so top level that people can’t help but love you, adore you and can’t stand to be away from you because you are so outstanding at what you do. You need to perform at the platinum level, world class level or Master level.
Genuine Leaders show up every day, roll up their sleeves and get the job done, no matter what! They are not influenced by the chattering voices of the pessimists. These leaders devote themselves to the job at hand to produce the finished result, that says nothing less than this is my very best and I happily offer it to you.
Today is your chance to show your commitment to be first, the most and the absolute Top Gun at what you do! Expect more from yourself than anyone around you could ever dream of expecting from you. You will not have a lot of competition if you go the extra mile. The majority of people have such low standards for themselves and aim too low and unfortunately reach those limited goals, of being unhappy, unfulfilled and limited in every way.
It is easier to work at Master level compared to the normal, average, don’t care level. Because so few people even consider they can perform there, let alone having a career at the Master level. An excellent question to ask yourself before you start a job is; “How would the man/woman who is the greatest in the world at what I do, perform this task?
See yourself as being the best in the world at what you do. Do not settle for second best. If you are going to wash a cup, do it so that the king of any country would be happy to drink from that cup after you have washed it. Keep focused on small ways to get better and to improve constantly. If someone asks a question go out of your way to find the answer and give it to them in a polite, helpful and sincere manner. This is how you will achieve the Master level.
Every minute you are at work is a minute for you to let your hidden genius shine. Challenge yourself to outperform the you of one hour ago. With sincere dedication, constant effort and a relaxed focused mindset you will become an exceptional, extraordinary, and truly happy person.
Find that leader within yourself and let him/her out. Reclaim more of your untapped potential and awaken your latent creativity and precious humanity. Doing world class work also is a part of your purpose of life. In turbulent times great leaders emerge.
Every person alive has the potential to be a Master at what they do. They work at the average level not because they are average but because they don’t know who they truly are and what they are really capable of. They have bought into the idea that their surroundings have sold them that they are un-special, dumb, useless. You never behave in a way that is inconsistent with your self-image. How you think determines your performance results. See yourself as being capable of nothing less than extraordinary. Whatever you believe ultimately becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Therefore Develop successful thinking patterns and leadership habits. To become a master in any field requires 10,000 hours. Every world class expert has invested at least 10,000 hours toning, tweaking and developing their skills. All of us has the potential to achieve a place of Mastery in the job we do. Combine these three elements: 10,000 hours, practice and focused effort add them to your vacation and you will become the best of the best in the whole world! Combine time and a clear focus and eventually, the result will turn out to be mastery. You will obtain what you put your mind to.
A lot of people fail to obtain this level because they have fallen into a quick-fix, instant gratification must have immediately mindset. Like an infant screaming hysterically for its milk. They give up too early, fail to take any personal responsibility, they find lots of excuses not to continue and blame things like the manager, the people they work with, or the changing times we live in. Some blame their parents, their past, their location. It is amazing how people protect themselves yet in doing this actually destroy themselves. we allow ourselves to get distracted by a billion tiny things that ultimately amount to nothing.
Mastery takes time, patience and constant effort. Look at this as you would if you were in a marathon race. If you sprint in a marathon you will fade out before you reach the finish line. Pay the price that success demands. Lead by example. Encourage everyone to follow these ideas. It is very important to act on these ideas immediately if you want excellent results.Greatness is achieved when you combine a red hot idea with white hot action.
Your first step will be the hardest, but the rest will get easier. With every positive step, you take this sets another positive consequence into play. The more action you take the more results you will see.
You deserve to live a happy and successful life. You deserve to live and work in a way that demonstrates the absolute best within you and makes you feel you really do matter in the most wonderful of ways. You CAN do this!
Until next time I wish you peace, love and success.
