How you live your life is a result of your state of mind. My Aikido Master Koichi Tohei Sensei taught me to expose myself to positive messages. Every day we can program our mind for failure of success. Read a newspaper, listen to the news on the TV or the radio, it is at least 99.9% negative. You are not helping to solve anything when you just soak this bad stuff in. Expose your mind to positive messages. Listen to motivation audio books every day, Feed your mind with positive images, sounds and feelings. It is a choice.
Today I want you to understand that there is so much more to you than you have been expressing. Your life right now is not a reflexion of your true potential, you have greatness within you and I want to encourage you to tap into it and discover the greatness within.
To become successful we first need to understand that greatness is a choice, it is not a destiny! It is a choice you have to make every day. When you wake up in the morning ask yourself which part of you are you going to give service to today, the mediocre part or the greatness part that you were chosen for?
You have more in you right now than just working on a job where they pay you just enough to keep you from throwing in the towel, and you work just enough to stop them from terminating you. Please get a bigger picture, vision and image of yourself.
By exposing yourself to positive things that will begin to impact your behaviour. It will lead you to the place you should be. When you do this you are advertising for greatness. This will impact others and they will respond. If you keep moving forward and keep your eye on being better every day you will achieve whatever you want.
What is the highest amount of money you have made in one hour on your very best day? Can you make more? What was the first answer that popped into your head? NO or Yes? I guess most people will answer no.
A few years I met Malik, a black African American. His story really inspires me and I want to share it. He was born to a 15-year-old drug addict in a derelict, rat-infested apartment in a slum area in the Bronx, New York. His mother abandoned him right after his birth. She left him in a trash can to die. Malik was found just in time before he died. He was adopted and raised by a lady that cleaned rich peoples houses.
As Malik went to school he had a hard time learning, so people said he was slow in the head, called him a retard. He was held back in school and given special education. A new teacher came to his school and one day asked Malik to solve a problem on the board. Malik responded he couldn’t. The teacher asked why not. The other children shouted because he is Malik the retard. The teacher came around the desk looked at Malik and told them never say that again. To Malik, he said, “Young man, someone’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality. You are not a retard. Eradicate that notion from your heard right this minute! You have special talents within that you have not discovered yet!” This change Malik’s image and opinion of himself and from that day he worked hard to improve himself. He only graduated junior high school. Had no college degree.
When I met him he was a motivational speaker. He asked me the question What is the highest amount of money you have made in one hour on your very best day? I responded £100. He told me I was hanging out with the wrong people. If you hang out with nine broke people you will become number 10. MIT did a study that indicated you earn within $2000 to $3000 of your closest friends. People rub off on you, this is called “Mind Virus.” You need to upgrade your relationships. Ask yourself “Who is it I need to associate with, that I can learn from so that I can grow emotionally, mentally and spiritually and financially?”
On his best day up until a year before I met him he could make $260,000 in 1.5 hours talking to 8000 people. He got himself a life coach and now he can make $410,000 in one hour talking to 500 people. AMAZING! He told me to take an honest look at all your relationships and ask yourself “What is this relationship doing to me in every area of my life?” Is it a positive or negative influence? If you are the smartest person in your group, you need to get a new group. Sometimes we outgrow people and we have to leave them. That is life. So think, meditate and pray about this. Follow your intuition, you learn as you go. The world needs you, we need you now! So it is. God Bless you. God Bless your dreams. God Bless the greatness within you. Until next time I wish you peace love and success. Martin Acton Sensei
